About Our Free Services:
We provide comprehensive crisis intervention services to survivors and their families of domestic violence, sexual assault, rape, and homicide through experienced professionals to 25 Milford area communities. All services are FREE and confidential.

Homicide Bereavement Program

  • Support services for individuals impacted by homicide, including vehicular homicide and attempted homicide:
  • Crisis intervention and debriefing
  • Individual, family, and group counseling
  • Legal advocacy
  • Benefit access assistance

Our Homicide Bereavement services are open to:

  • Anyone affected by homicide, including vehicular incidents
  • Victims of attempted homicide
  • Family and friends grieving the loss of a loved one due to homicide
  • First responders such as police, paramedics, firefighters, and hospital workers

Accessible Free Support Services and Programs

Children Who Witness Violence Program

Services for children ages 5 and older and their non-offending family who witness violence directly or indirectly:

  • Crisis intervention
  • Individual, family and group counseling
  • Therapeutic supportive groups
  • Individually tailored referrals and resources

Our Child Who Witness Violence services are open to:

  • Children age 5 and older and their adult caregivers

Domestic Violence Services

Services for survivors of interpersonal violence and their non-offending families including:

  • Crisis intervention
  • Individual, family and group counseling
  • Safety planning and assistance with restraining orders
  • Court accompaniment
  • Individually tailored referrals and resources
  • Multilingual services when available

Our Domestic Violence services are open to:

  • All survivors of domestic violence including those currently in violent and/or controlling relationships

Rape Crisis Program

Services for survivors ages 12 and older of sexual violence, adult survivors of child sexual abuse, and their significant others:

  • Direct response to hospitals to provide support during SANE examinations
  • Support connecting to Legal resources
  • Safety planning
  • Community outreach and education

Rape Crisis Volunteer opportunities

  • Join us in our mission to empower survivors and to end violence in our communities.
  • 40-hr Rape Crisis Volunteer Advocate training provided Answer/respond to hotline calls
  • Support sexual assault survivors at hospitals Use essential counseling skills
  • Volunteer at events to raise awareness and
  • Promote prevention efforts to end violence

  • Services are inclusive of all survivors regardless of gender, sexual orientation, education and employment status, religion, race and ethnicity.
  • Choose between in-person or virtual services based on your preference.

  • Family Debriefing and Counseling
  • Support Group Sessions
  • Court Accompaniment and support connecting to legal resources
  • Assistance in Accessing Benefits, including Victim’s Compensation
  • Community Outreach and Educational programming for schools, law enforcement, human services, and mental health professionals, as well as faith communities and residential programs on topics such as domestic/sexual violence, harassment, trauma from interpersonal violence, teen dating violence, healthy relationships, bullying, and managing disclosures of violence/abuse with referral information.

We strive to offer hope and empower survivors to lead full and successful lives. All services are confidential, free of charge and multilingual when available. Our experienced counselors and staff assist survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, children impacted by substances (CIS), and those impacted by homicide, along with their families through the process of healing.
