Residential, Day & Educational

Residential services tailored to meet the needs of teens requiring out-of-home placement.

There are times when more intensive services are needed to support adolescents with behavioral health concerns. The Wayside Campus provides a continuum of services for youth that are in need of intensive behavioral health services. Our Campus located in Framingham, MA consists of 7 residential programs, a Special Education 766 Private School and a Day Treatment Program. When children are unsafe at home and need additional care, it may be time for residential treatment.

Wayside Campus residential services provides 24-hour care in a safe, secure and welcoming environment. With lengths of stay lasting anywhere from a few days to a few months, Wayside Campus’s flexible residential services meet the varying needs of youth needing an out-of-home placement. We provide the ideal balance between intensive care and the social and recreational benefits of a campus setting. Our facility boasts seven residential homes, each with living space for 9 or 14 teens; onsite nursing and psychiatric care; group therapy spaces, a gymnasium and a sports field.

Contact & Referral Info

Youth that reside on our campus are referred in 2 ways:

Community Based Acute Treatment – This service is insurance funded and referrals are completed through a local emergency service provider or hospital setting. These youth receive intensive clinical services while living on our residential campus for short durations to provide stabilization and return to their local community setting.

DCF Residential Placements – these youth are placed by the Department of Youth and Families for varying lengths of time depending on the needs of the youth. Some youth may be placed for an assessment period and others are placed for longer term treatment.

We know that being away from home is hard for children – and for their families too. Therefore, we do our very best to make their stays as short as possible. Further, while youth are here, we work with families to set up community supports and after-care plans for a seamless transition home.
