Feeling hopeless and defeated, Kristen turned to the Framingham Family Resource Center (FRC) at Wayside for help. She had suddenly lost her partner, the father of her children, and was struggling to provide for her family. Grief and financial hardship left her unable to meet even their basic needs. Kristen needed help with essentials like food, housing support, and getting her driver’s license so she could find work.

The compassionate team at the FRC worked with Kristen to develop a plan. They connected her to community resources, provided emotional support, and encouraged her to believe in herself again. Determined to rebuild her life, Kristen began cleaning houses, gradually regaining both her confidence and financial stability. Through her hard work, Kristen paid off her debts, got her driver’s license, and secured steady employment. Her family’s future, once uncertain, became filled with hope. In gratitude, Kristen began making some beautiful wreaths for the FRC—a heartfelt symbol of her appreciation and the support that helped her overcome so much.
