Systemic racism doesn’t just happen in America. Around the world systems of oppression replicate many of the same mechanisms and outcomes. They also have their own unique quirks and ways of taking shape. Isabel Wilkerson’s book “Caste” outlines the overlaps between the caste system in India, Nazi Germany, and American White Supremacy. Click on the link below to find out more about “Caste.” It’s an important book to read to begin to understand these dynamics. We will also be highlighting a few international anti-racist action articles to broaden our scope. We must remember and acknowledge when engaging in courageous conversations that we are doing so through an American lens and invite in others who may have a different experience into those conversations.
